AFF Tip of the Week

Week of October 2, 2006 - If you are not having success in any given location, try to vary your retrieve. For example, if you are stripping your line in rapidly in long incriments, change to short, slow strips. Also in an attempt to keep your line in the water for longer (which will most definately give you a better chance to catch a fish) an angler should use the slow retrieve technique. This tip can also benefit an angler who has shoulder problems and wants to avoid further agrivation by casting more often.

-Thanks to advice from my dad on my retrieve, I was able to hook this brown trout, who had out-smarted me to many times before.
