Week of June 18, 2007 - There is no such thing as a bad cast. Some of the finest fish documented by anglers have admitingly been caught by a mistake or on a simply lousy cast. You can only catch a fish if your line is in the water. Not all casts can be picture perfect, so don't pick up a bad cast all the time. Sometimes you'll find your worst cast will bring in the best fish.

- Casting as a younger man I often used too much power which created problems. This just happens to be one of my better casts.
